Ayers Elementary School has been educating young minds and empowering students since 1962. Serving students K-5 and with an enrollment of about 400 students, you will definitely feel like you are part of a community when you are here. 2018-2019 Intradistrict Transfer Information

2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR TRANSFER APPLICATIONS FOR GRADES 1-12

 

APPLICATION PERIOD:  OCTOBER 17, 2017 THROUGH NOVEMBER 17, 2017

 

Mt. Diablo Unified School District is going online for Intradistrict Transfer requests for the 2018-2019 school year.  Beginning October 17, 2017, the Online application can be found at mdusd.org, select Parent and Community and you will find the Intradistrict application link in General News.

 

For students currently enrolled in grades K-11 online applications must be submitted October 17, 2017 through November 17, 2017 for the 2018-19 school year.  No applications will be accepted after the November 17, 2017 deadline.

 

Special attention to current 5th and 8th grade students; if you would like your student to attend a Middle or High School other than your school of residence, you must apply for an Intradistrict transfer. 

 

Incoming Kindergartners for the 2018-19 school year must complete enrollment at their home school in early February.  Online applications will be accepted for incoming Kindergartners February 9, 2018 through March 9, 2018.  Students must be enrolled at their school of residence prior to submitting a transfer request.

 

 

Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten 2018-2019

More information will be posted in December 2017 for incoming transitional kindergarten and kindergarten students for the 2018-2019 school year.

 

The age requirements are:

 

Transitional Kindergarten

Born between:  9/2/2013 and 12/2/2013

 

Kindergarten

Born between 9/2/2012 and 9/1/2013

5th Grade Outdoor Education

5th grade Outdoor Education is planned for March 5-March 7, 2018.  Camp deposits and donations were due in full by 9/29/17.  If you didn't have a chance to send in your complete donation yet, please turn it in to the office as soon as possible. 

 

In addition to parent donations, there have been some fundraisers to help with the additional expenses of camp:

 

Camp T-shirts designed by our own 5th grade students!  A portion of the sales will be given to the school to use towards the cost of camp!  Sales for t-shirts ended 9/29/17.  There might be sweatshirts for sale at a later date.

 

Snow cones raised $261.00 toward camp!  Way to go!  Thank you to the Colon family for donating use of the snow cone machine, Mrs. Jensen, Mrs. Morrison, Mrs. Robinson, and Mr. Lane for making the snow cone fundraiser such a success!  Every bit helps the students get to camp!

 

Thank you to the Canesa family for the Canesa's fundraiser on 9/22/17. 

 

We are still shy of our needed monies to fully fund camp.  There is a See's Candy fundraiser taking place Mon. Nov. 13 through Mon. Nov. 27.

Ayers Spirit Store

Spirit Wear at Ayers!

Wear your spirit wear every Friday.  The class with the highest participation has "Bailey" Bear visit their class for the week.

 

There are currently two options to purchase spirit wear.  

 

1)  Below is the link to our discounted spirit wear. Limited sizes/quantities are still available at reduced prices.

2) We have newly designed spirit wear this year.  These items were available for purchase through custom ink that ended October 6th.  Information will be posted here with a link if there will be additional sales again this school year.  

 

 

Please note that the school office does not have spirit wear available for sale.  All spirit wear orders go through one of the options listed above, thank you!

Exciting News! We will again publish a yearbook for grades TK-5. Get yours now for only $20 because prices will go up! This book will include all classes, staff, and photo collage pages of grade level and school events.

New Student Registration

Registration Packets for Incoming students for grades TK through 5th grade for the 2017-2018 school year are available in the front office for students.  We are only able to register students who reside within the Ayers Elementary attendance boundaries. Enrollment is complete when all documents are received.Registrations are only accepted with complete enrollment documents within our office hours.

 

AERIES Internet Registration (AIR) is also available to start the process of registering a student for school; this only starts the process, it does not complete it.  Parents or guardians will still need to come to our school office to present completed paperwork (immunization record, birth certificate, residency verification items) to be verified and additional forms specific to Ayers will need to be completed as well.  The AIR website is https://air.mdusd.org/air/ if you choose this option.
