Ayers Elementary School has been educating young minds and empowering students since 1962. Serving students K-5 and with an enrollment of about 400 students, you will definitely feel like you are part of a community when you are here. Ayers friendly faculty work together as a team,  there is a high level of parent involvement and our PTA is excited to welcome volunteers with fresh and new ideas. So, come by and check us out!

5th Grade Outdoor Education

5th grade Outdoor Education is tentatively planned for March 5-March 7, 2018.  Camp deposits and donations are due in full by 9/29/17 in order to move forward with planning, as our contract to camp and near 100 % funding is due on this date.

Please speak to your child's teacher or the office if you have any questions regarding camp.

 

In addition to parent donations, there are some upcoming fundraisers to help with the additional expenses of camp:

Please support the 5th Grade Camp Fundraiser at Canesa's in Clayton between 10:30 am and 7:00 pm.  Thank you to the Canesa family who is GENEROUSLY donating 50% of the profit to the camp fund!  Be sure to bring your flyer (extra copies are also available in the front office). Canesa's_Flyer.pdf

 

Camp T-shirts designed by our own 5th grade students!  Purchase a t-shirt using the link below for custom ink.  A portion of the sales is then given to the school to use towards the cost of camp!

Snow cones raised $261.00 toward camp!  Way to go!  Thank you to the Colon family for donating use of the snow cone machine, Mrs. Jensen, Mrs. Morrison, Mrs. Robinson, and Mr. Lane for making the snow cone fundraiser such a success!  Every bit helps the students get to camp!

Spirit Wear at Ayers!

Wear your spirit wear every Friday.  The class with the highest participation has "Bailey" Bear visit their class for the week.

 

There are currently two options to purchase spirit wear.

Fall School Pictures

Fall pictures will be taken Tuesday, October 3, 2017 during the regular school day.  All students will be photographed.  If you wish to purchase a picture package online, please use the link below. In addition, paper order forms will be sent home Monday, Sept. 25th.  Pictures packages must be purchased on or before picture day.  Please remember, if you are paying by cash, the school office is not able to make change.  Please pay the vendor with exact amount.

Exciting News! We will again publish a yearbook for grades TK-5. Get yours now for only $20 because prices will go up! This book will include all classes, staff, and photo collage pages of grade level and school events.

New Student Registration 2017-2018

Registration Packets for Incoming students for grades TK through 5th grade for the 2017-2018 school year are available in the front office for students.  We are only able to register students who reside within the Ayers Elementary attendance boundaries. Enrollment is complete when all documents are received.Registrations are only accepted with complete enrollment documents within our office hours.

 

 

Age eligibility for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten:

 

Transitional Kindergarten

Children born between:

09/02/2012 - 12/02/2012 

 

Kindergarten

Children born between:

09/02/2011 - 09/01/2012

 

 

AERIES Internet Registration (AIR) is also available to start the process of registering a student for school; this only starts the process, it does not complete it.  Parents or guardians will still need to come to our school office to present completed paperwork (immunization record, birth certificate, residency verification items) to be verified and additional forms specific to Ayers will need to be completed as well.  The AIR website is https://air.mdusd.org/air/ if you choose this option.
